Windle Ferrier Land & Property Consultants is the fusion of two ably supported Chartered Surveyors who thoroughly enjoy their work in providing professional advice on all manner of land, property, farms, estates and woodland. Based in West Sussex we offer over 50 years of combined experience centred on Midhurst in a diverse range of matters from valuations to land surveys, easements to acquisitions, property development to carbon sequestration; we have built our knowledge on strong foundations and a friendly, professional and likeminded network of invaluable trusted acquaintances.
Robert was born and bred in the north of Cumbria, close to Hadrian’s Wall, but has lived and worked in the Midhurst area for the last 30 years. Robert is the third generation of his family to be a Surveyor and he has worked in Sussex since he was appointed as the Resident Agent for Cowdray Estate in 1990, and for the last 5 years he has been the senior Agent for a large Private Estate near Haywards Heath. Robert and his wife have two grown up sons ( both of whom are Commercial Surveyors) and they are now delighted to have 4 grandchildren. He also enjoys walking and cycling with likeminded friends. Robert’s lockdown challenge has been to take on the training of a young Cocker Spaniel , in the vain hope of trying to disprove the well known theory that a Labrador is born half trained whilst a spaniel dies half trained!
Nick went to Westbourne House School, near Chichester and having grown up in the area has returned to West Sussex following a much loved stint in the Irish Guards, and a spell in London working within the Executive Management of a LSE property company. Following a Masters which he undertook whilst at work, he was able to qualify as a Chartered Surveyor. Nick is also the Managing Director of the Midhurst branch of Jackson-Stops which is a leading property agency. Nick now has three sons also at Westbourne House and lives in the South Downs. In between a busy work schedule, Nick finds time to exercise on foot or by bike across the wonderful local landscape he is passionate about.
Catherine was born and brought up just outside Midhurst. She began her career as an Estate Agent in London in the mid 1990’s after an extensive period of travel. A move back to Sussex followed in 2000 where she worked locally for Hamptons International and Strutt & Parker (formerly Lane Fox). Catherine took a break from work to have her two children and start her own book-keeping business. She returned to work in 2018 in Petworth supporting Robert Windle with his land agency work and subsequently moved to WFLPC in 2020. Catherine is a keen country enthusiast and loves to make the most of the beautiful Sussex countryside; she can usually be found on her horse with her Cyprus mongrel dog alongside.
